This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Chuka Obiora Okeke who was born on August 5th, 1987 in Jos, Plateau Nigeria and passed away on June 20, 2011. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.

Remembering Chuka by his good friend - Shima Ayu

Okeke Chuka Obiora was born on the 5th of August, 1987 to Engr Samuel Okeke and Dr Mrs Edith Okeke in Jos, Plateau State. His primary education he got at Alama Primary School, Jos. He then moved on to Bethany Christian Academy, Barkin-Ladi for his secondary education. Then went on to study Economics at the University of Jos and graduated with seccond class honors, upper division. Moved to Abuja in March 2010 to start his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) which he successfully completed in February 2011 working in the department of monetary policy at the Central Bank of Nigeria, Abuja.

An energetic, intelligent, determined and down to earth young man. He had a way to put a smile on every face that he encoutered with either his smile, silly jokes, or wise words that belied his age. He loved his sports those he loved to watch and those he loved to play. He watched football, basketball and tennis and enjoyed all of dem. His favourite was football and he supported arsenal, a die hard fan at that.

He distinguished himself in everything that he indulged in. A top academic performer, a diligent, self-motivated and driven worker, a loyal friend, a loving brother, a respectful son, he really was a man of the people. His life is a testimony of a well run race. He wasn't gifted long life but the impact he had on the people that were priviledged to meet him was immense.

Here are some "Chukerisms" for your entertainment. I hope even now he can make you smile. :)

Even though I've not met you, reading about you tells me you were a delightful person to be around.  I know you're not gone, I know you're still here in the heart of everyone who love.  Rest in peace.
